As a precaution, Woolworths has withdrawn all Woolworths branded dry dog and cat food from its shelves, due to concern that there is a small possibility that some customers' pets may be at risk from micro traces of a contaminant which has been identified in some batches of Woolworths labelled dry dog food.
Customers may return any existing dry dog or cat food* to a Woolworths store for a full refund. Woolworths offers alternative dog and cat food brands - Pedigree and Whiskas - as well as Woolworths pouched and tinned food, which is sourced from a different supplier and does not contain the contaminated ingredient.
